English for IT Professionals: Beyond the Documentation

Reading fluency is not speaking fluency
Reading docs is passive recognition; speaking is active production under time pressure. They are different skills. You need reps of talking, not more reading, to sound fluent in a stand-up.
The daily stand-up formula
Structure every update in three parts: what I did, what I am doing, what is blocking me. Memorise the fixed phrases for each and the stand-up stops being stressful.
Technical interviews are communication tests
In English-language interviews, thinking out loud clearly matters as much as the solution. Practise narrating your reasoning: 'My first approach would be… the trade-off here is…'.
Disagreeing with senior colleagues in English
Code reviews and architecture debates require diplomatic disagreement. 'I'd push back on that' or 'Have we considered…?' let you challenge ideas without sounding aggressive.
